New Pyomo Book Released
The second edition of the pyomo book has been released (Springer, Amazon). This version of the book includes completely new introductory chapters, as well as documentation and examples for new capabilities. The book includes chapters on core capabilities, including Pyomo modeling components, linear and nonlinear programming, and stochastic programming. New capabilities include Pyomo Blocks, which provide an approach for piecing models together from re-usable modeling pieces, Pyomo.DAE for optimization of differential-algebraic equations, Generalized Disjunctive Programming, MPEC, and Bilevel optimization problems.
Move to Sandia
Dr. Laird has recently moved to Sandia National Laboratories. He has a joint-appointment and continues to run a research group in the Davidson School of Chemical Engineering at Purdue University.
